Blogs, Feeds, Bad Jokes, and the Rest
Ever wonder whether a microblog could be informative, sometimes funny, personable, and still include book, music, and beer reviews? This is like stream-of-consciousness art/culture/science/nonsense writing on the halfshell (raw, a bit, but smooth and a little dangerous). Here are some recent updates:
This is Isaac's main blog, covering a range of cultural topics. As the title indicates, the entries here will stick to visual or written materials worthy of comment, explication, or at least description. At present, there are items of cultural criticism, book reviews, art exhibition reviews, film previews, critical glances at critics, and there's more content every few days.
This is a Louisville-specific blog available at LouisvilleMojo for which Isaac contributes writing on the arts and culture. Links and teasers to these articles are posted on Twitter and on Isaac's main blog at Verb/Image.
I thought I'd try out this Tumblr thing. Still not sure about its utility, but it does have a cool feature where you can call in, leave a message from your phone, and thereby record an audio post straight to your stream. That's cool, but we'll see what else is cool before making a decision.
This is Isaac's older blog about visual culture. It's no longer updated, but it set the tone for the more recent Verb / Image. Eventually the rest of Visculture's materials will migrate to Verb / Image.
